Amazing Animal Companion

Let us introduce you to Dolly Pillars!  She is our amazing 15 year young Premium Blend!  Dolly is a combination of Pomeranian and American Spitz.  She was born in Mint Hill, North Carolina and was one of 4 beautiful puppies.  She is the animal child of Jeff and Gail Pillars and their daughter, Haley.  The family includes 14 dogs, 4 horses and lots of cats!  The family lives on a large piece of property which allows for the whole group to move about comfortably.  Dolly loves to "torment her father" and stare at the neighbors chickens!  She loves to go for walks, play in the snow and loves the water.  Some of her favorite foods include chicken and pumpkin!

Dolly came to Atrium Animal Hospital because she was having difficulty walking and was dragging her back legs.  She was first seen for acupuncture which helped to increase the strength in her rear legs by simulating the acupuncture points and meridians.  Then Tui-na, a Chinese medical massage and mobilization technique, was added to balance out the musculoskeletal system.  Lastly, we began the underwater treadmill for strengthening and general conditioning.  Dolly has improved beautifully!  She is able to walk with a steady gait, get up from a lying down position independently and can turn and change direction without falling down!  Dolly has worked hard throughout her treatments and has a "can do" spirit we all admire!
